Introducing the superior RC-40 (Mark 2)
The RC-40 has two 20-bottle position rotors, each fitted with a multichannel peristaltic pump. Pump volume, rotor direction (both clock and counter clock wise) and speed are controlled via a simple programmable CPU.
CONSISTENT PRESSURE APPLICATION
Homogeneous flling is achieved because colinear axis points allow for consistent pressure to be applied on each tube. This results in pump flling accuracy of +/-5%.

Rc-40 Roller Bottle System
CLOSED AUTOMATED PROCESSING
Unlike robots or traditonal roller bottle handling systems, the RC-40 automates all stages of a rollter bottle process. For example the RC-40 can perform a media exchange of all 40 bottles (in one frame) simultaneously and without opening them.
One RC-40 system enables a single operator to complete a full roller bottle tissue culture protocol - seeding, media change, trypsinisation and harvest.

The gamma-irradiated RC-40 Bottle Packs consist of 20 bottles ready-assembled with tubings, manifolds, and filters providing access to the cell culture area via a single aseptic connection. One Bottle Pack is required per rotor and once placed in the rotor, RC-40 Bottle Packs enable all further processing to be performed without additional bottle handling by the system operator. These unique Bottle Packs provide a closed production environment, virtually eliminating handling related contaminations.
Guide and spring concept assures easy initial bottle load, and unload upon processing completion, by operator.

PETG and polystyrene bottle formats come in Flat Wall or Expanded Surface providing a range of culture area/pack*. *Flat Wall: +/- 36,000 cm² Extended Surface: +/- 84,000 cm².

Tubings, manifolds, and flters provide access of up to 84,000 cm² of cell culture area via one aseptic connector.

RC-40 BOTTLE SYSTEM
Roller bottles offer an established, reliable method and a relatively inexpensive way to set up flexible biopharmaceutical operations. They are especially well suited to all adherent based vaccines and viral vector processes (MDCK, VERO, PERC6, HEK-293), “clean cells” for fermenter cultures and recombinant proteins.
